Needy of Greater Baton Rouge, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit Christian organization that collects clothes and household items, and uses the monies from these to purchase food vouchers to help the needy in the community. We also help various charitable organizations.
We serve Ascension, East and West Baton Rouge, Iberville, and Livingston parishes.
You never know who your donation will help

Needy's main purpose is to aid in the support of helping the less fortunate in the Greater Baton Rouge community. This is mainly the elderly, disabled, single mothers and their children. Needy helps about 2,000 families a year. This is done in the form of distributing food vouchers. All applicants must be qualified, and if approved are given these vouchers. If funds are available, other services may be rendered. At no time is money ever given. read more
